“With more than two thousand years of writing in both the East and the West on the mind, society, and the individual, the individual ideas are less likely to be novel than the way that they are fitted together.”

— Dark Matter of the Mind: The Culturally Articulated Unconscious by Daniel L. Everett

This site is created in the spirit of fitting ideas together, in search of insights. It will host my thoughts on a variety of topics. Modeled after the book, ‘Meditations’ by Marcus Aurelius, my posts will be short vignettes, much like a personal diary, culmimating in a book. This site will ‘show my work’ as a living document revealing the dynamic progression of the book over time.

My goal is to collect all of my learning here: from wisdom, to revelations, to moral convictions - documenting the culmination of my intellectual and spiritual life. Ultimately, this will become my gift to my children. A collection of everything I’ve learned over the course of my life: to answer the question, “what do I really know?“

And when I arrive to my death, this living book will be my intellectual legacy to my children. Hopefully, my children will build on this collection of ideas by adding their own wisdom over time. If this experiment succeeds, then generation after generation, we will learn from each other and connect to each other over time and space. The book will become a sort of generational family asset.

I hope you find something useful in these pages too. An inspiration or two, or maybe just a spark that ignites your own passion. If you want to receive these meditations in your inbox, you can subscribe and receive new postings as they‘re published.
